1-0. Hope you got Church in Early on this Sunday.

Astonishing. Wow! What a morning session today. It was a great test. Overcast for the first three days with endless amounts of to-ing and fro-ing.

Arriving at the Grace Gates, briefly exchanging pleasantries with a friendly face, Mark from University from too many Summers ago, and then spotting Dad with his French Beret on. Sticking out like a sore thumb!

We were polished off pretty quickly, and setting the Kiwis a total of 230 odd never looked too promising, although when you look at the stats of successful  fourth innings run chases at Lords, it wasn’t lining up to be a walk in the park for NZ.

It proved to be highly unscalable. We won by 170 freakin’ runs!

Broady Broady! Indeed the ‘Mercurial’ Broad as one Mark Nicholas described him took a career best of 7-44. Blink and you’d miss it. Anderson, cool as ever did the rest from the other end. We were back on the No.2 before three in the afternoon.

Headingley test next week. Looking forward to tuning in from Anda Lucia.
